I am Yvonne Davey. I have been grooming for over 10 years now and
have had my own shop here in Absarokee for 3 years. My love
for dogs began when I was a child and my mother was a groomer (and she still is!).
She also had Keeshonden, which she showed and successfully bred lots
of Champions, still felt in the breed today! I now show Afghan Hounds
and also train them in agility. So I may be off to shows
occasionally.
I pride myself in making my shop a comfortable area for your dog to be
in. I have calming music playing for them and I do not have more four
dogs at a time to keeps things as quiet as possible. I want your dog
to think of his/her grooming session as a relaxing thing and I always
hope that they look forward to their next time in to see me! So for
the reasons above I do not book dogs around 4th of July. Unless...we
have a fireworks ban for that year!!!
Puppies of all breeds are encourged to come in for a cookie and nail
trim. Even if you don't plan on using a groomer regularly it is a
good idea to get them used to the idea! Especially the puppies that
will grow up to be very large!! This helps give a groomer an easier
time to handle them, instead of strong arming them when they are 9
months old and 100 pounds!!
All grooms include...ear cleaning (plucking of hair, if neccessary),
bath, dry, brush-out, styling, trimming up of fuzzy feet hair and
nails clipped.
All dogs start at $25.00
I no longer groom large dogs over 40 pounds
