Tips on Taking Photos for Portrait Models.
|
I get so many requests for portrait models, I thought it would be nice to include a section outlining a few tips on getting photos that will best help me in portraying your friend.
Always remember, portraits are a likeness not an exact copy!
List of photos to take:
-
front
-
back
-
left side
-
right side
-
top (if done safely!)
-
underneath (again done safely!)
-
close ups of markings
I want the actual photos for portrait horses, they will be kept in a baggie while the are here and they will be returned to you in the same way you sent them. Please do not email them to me, computer screens differ and what looks like the right color of your horse to you on your screen, looks different on mine. Printing them off is even worse. Please put Post-It notes on the pictures that show your horses actual color.
I want to see "everything"!! Close ups of markings and other unusual markings on your horse. You can go into as much detail as you want, what you get good pix of markings/parts, I can detail the model just as much!
Below are example pictures of what I want to see:
(Thank you to Janet Edington for taking pictures of her horse Wylie)
